For those of you who are frequent readers of this blog, I must apologise for the lack of updates this past week. Ironically, I have been really time-poor after my papers. The last few days has been spent in meetings with my client for a consulting project, whilst preparing for my church mission trip at the same time. I am lucky that I have this short time to write while I wait for my clothes to spin dry…
On a Mission
By this time tomorrow, I would be landing in Thailand, the Land of Smiles! I’m headed to Chiang Mai to celebrate an early Christmas the Lahu People and to help build fences and teach English. Wish me luck!
This is the very first time I would be teaching English so I am quite anxious about it. I hope they would be able to get much out of the session, or at least have a good time! As much as I go with the intention to bless these people through what little I can do to improve their lives materially, I believe the experience would also enrich me spiritually. Really looking forward to it!
Be Right Back
I would be gone until the 19th of December and unfortunately, there would not be any Internet connection up in the hill tribes. In fact, there isn’t even mobile reception, from what I have heard. I know it’s a really long time, but don’t forget to check back here after that! I would also be scheduling some posts later if I have the time to keep you entertained while I’m gone. I promise to post some photos when I’m back!
What’s coming up?
I promised on Twitter that I would write something about Fun Theory, but I never managed to get around to doing it. What I think I would do is to write a whole series of perspectives about Advertising instead, since it really is quite a big topic, and I happened to just finish a module on it. It would be a good chance for me to concretize my learning, and for us to learn more about the modern approaches to Integrated Marketing Communications. What say you?
